I'm very happy to announce that I am curating the art at a new Japanese restaurant here in San Francisco.
It is called Sushi Raw and is located at 682 Haight st.
The way it will work is like this... it is a two floor restaurant. On the bottom floor I will have six artists in a group show for one year. On the top floor I will take one of those artists and give them a two month feature, plus art party that will have avant-garde musicians providing the entertainment.
We are already getting good reviews and the show isn't even complete yet! But the 2010 season already looks good.

If you come to the city please stop by and say hello.
And, who knows, maybe one day I'll be asking you to exhibit there too!

Exhibit schedule to be posted soon.

So what inspires the name "Rompida Media Lab"?

I get an allusion to Romper Room (an ancient kids' show), but that's about it.
:iconkeswickpinhead:
Are you a good do-bee?:D
:iconlaurazee:
Not particularly.

I read a book by a Canadian author, whose name escapes me right now, about Romper room, sort of, it was hilarious, when I returned it to the library I told them that it should be in Canadiana, with a Canadian flag on it.
Someone we should be proud of.
Next time I go I will jot down his name. Really brought back memories.
Have you ever read anything by Paul Quarington?
Another great Canadian Author.
